R. Crumb's Music Cards: Early Jazz Greats- from Denis Kitchen Publishing Co.

"The 36 cards (on heavy card stock) are packaged in a very cool 3 x 4 x 1 inch gift box. A bio of each musical artist by historian Stephen Calt is on the back. And each musician or group is lovingly drawn in full color by underground comix legend R. Crumb. In 1982 Yazoo Records issued a 36-card set devoted to Early Jazz Greats. Illustrated by cartoonist Robert Crumb in an atypical painterly style, the set features such luminaries as "Bix" Beiderbecke, Coleman Hawkins, "Jellyroll" Morton, Louis Armstrong, "King" Oliver, Jack Teagarden, "Duke" Ellington, Sidney Bechet, "Fats" Waller, Bennie Moten, Benny Goodman and 25 others.

This set was re-issued (reprinted with permission) by Denis Kitchen Publishing in August 2005.

Reverse of each card is a brief bio of each musician."
