RAW Chicago Blues

Levels 2/3

Raw Chicago Blues is the primitive, powerful style that thrills players and audiences. I took the ultimate workshop, 1973-1980 playing guitar in Muddy Waters' band and thousands of my own gigs since. I’ll give you everything I have to grease up your own music or become a Chicago Blues master. We’ll study great guitarists’ signature styles and classic blues anthems, why they are loved and how to play them. We’ll explore how to contribute to a jam and lead a band. We’ll discuss how to play well with other guitars, pianos and harmonicas. We’ll examine slide guitar in open and standard tunings. We’ll hear and feel how great guitar tone inspires us to our best. And our workshop welcomes what you ask for plus questions that develop as we go along. All you care to digest, no minimum or limit. Baby don’t you want to go?
